Pete Thistle has been circling the block of Downtown San Diego Marina district for years…11 years to be exact. As a transplant from decades of bitter winters in rural, suburban and metropolitan areas along the East Coast, Pete will tell you personally that "There is no better place to call home than downtown San Diego."

Pete has been a resident of City Front Terrace, an original homeowner at BOSA’s Horizons Marina District, and an original homeowner at the Pinnacle Museum Tower. He’s living his own dream in this urban lifestyle on a daily basis. Ask Pete about virtually any residential property built downtown within the past decade and he will most likely tell you what used to be on that block, who the original developer and sales team was, and maybe even little about the current board and the property management team who oversees the property. Pete has witnessed much of yesterday’s parking lots and warehouses become the stunning vertical village real estate environment that exists today.

Pete has always dreamed of working with other real estate professionals who are equally knowledgeable about downtown that have their prospective homebuyer’s life plan in mind. Pete feels that 92101 Urban Living embodies this philosophy.

Pete has been a California licensed real estate broker since 2001 and has worked as a home loan consultant, buyer’s agent, and listing agent for a variety of entities. Pete began his real estate career working for Wells Fargo, Countrywide, and American Mortgage Express. He was the original preferred lender representative for several residential projects downtown including CityMark’s Fahrenheit and M2i, Levin Menzie’s ICON, Skandia’s The Mills, J. Peter Block’s The El Cortez, and Point of View’s VantagePointe.

Pete enjoys doing what he can to make a difference in the communities he lives in. He has been the president of the HOA board at Horizons Marina District and is currently the HOA board secretary for the Pinnacle Museum Tower.

Pete has a strong affinity for working with those from other parts of the country who have never experienced the kind of hi-rise haven that downtown San Diego offers. Pete lived a four-seasons childhood in the great granite state of New Hampshire. He was an active undergraduate student and part-time musician on the main campus of Pennsylvania State University (PSU) in State College, PA. Pete received his Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from the Smeal College of Business.

One fun fact about Pete is that he was the owner of a boutique ice cream store in the Gaslamp District in 1998. "When you are selling ice cream, it’s easy to generate a smile with your customers before they leave.
