Parks are popping up through Downtown San Diego’s different neighborhoods including the Cortez Hill Park that recently opened in March, 2010.

Downtown San Diego Loft home owers in Aloft has the opportunity to walk right across the street to be able to enjoy this relaxing and quiet park. Other Downtown San Diego Condo home owners such as in Discovery at Cortez, Solara Loft and Aria only have a short stroll away.

This is a linear park that is located on Date St. between 8th and 9th St. where it has reclaimed excess freeway right-of-way and transformed into a park and trail system. This 1.9 million park has 75 new trees and uniquely designed birdhouse sculptures throughout.

There is a plan on adding more than 50 acres of new open space to the 75 acres already existing space. Every Downtown San Diego resident should not have more than a five to ten minute walk to a public open space.
