The San Diego Convention Center is the only convention center in the nation and the only one in North America to receive a gold level certification by the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC).

AIPC has members in 54 countries, and they document accomplishments and evaluate centers performances based on areas such as customer service, sales and marketing, facilities quality, and community relations. San Diego, is hoping to expand its Downtown San Diego bay front facility.

The San Diego Convention Center has been a very progressive center for a long time, and one way to show that is by being engaged in the international market. Next July, San Diego, will be the host city for the International Association of Congress Centres annual conference.
