The plan to redevelop the waterfront from Laurel Street to the G Street Mole in the Columbia District in Downtown San Diego is moving along. The North Embarcadero Visionary Plan Phase 1 (NEVP) has opportunities to create a more environmental friendly waterfront, widen pedestrian areas, adding landscaping, public art and gathering spaces.

The new Broadway Pier Cruise Ship Terminal’s structural framework is now complete. On Feb. 9th the workers celebrated by placing an American Flag and a live tree on top of the steel beam. The tree signifies that work was completed without any injures.

The Broadway Pier Cruise Ship Terminal in the Columbia District in Downtown San Diego is one of The Port of San Diego’s largest public work projects. The building will have a baggage claim area, a passenger waiting area, and a ticketing office.
