The new proposed Lane Field Hotel Project in the Columbia neighborhood of Downtown San Diego will contain of 400 hotel rooms in two different buildings. One building will be the Hilton Garden Inn and the other will be the Hilton Homewood Suites. Today, the location is contained by a large public parking area and the San Diego Tourist Center. This is also the spot that used to be home for the San Diego Padres.
The Port of San Diego would love to get your opinion and feedback when it comes to designing the project. According to the San Diego Business Journal and the article “Port District Hosts Workshops on Lane Field Hotel Project” two workshops are being held at the Port of San Diego Administration Building on Pacific Highway on June 28th and July 12th from 5.30pm to 7pm. It should be a very interesting workshop where many home owners, residents and the developement team get together to make this project the best it can be. ')}
