Some of the biggest names in sailing are heading to our very own downtown San Diego to race, for the first time in California, on our bay. March 2-6 marks the RC 44 Class Regatta and it is a free event with viewing areas at Broadway Pier, but can also be easily seen from Harbor and Shelter Islands.The RC44 is a high performance sailboat with crews of 8 that compete against one another at very close quarters. Considering much of their racing is done in very exotic locales (think Dubai and Venice, Italy) it is an honor to host this regatta in our very own downtown San Diego.
