Rock N Roll Marathon

As an owner of a downtown San Diego loft, sitting out on my balcony wrapped in a blanket with a cup of jo in hand is my idea of participating in the Rock N Roll Marathon. This SOLD OUT (that’s right, SOLD OUT) event draws in thousands of runners who, along the route, hear and see live music for every mile they run. And, we all know how many miles they run. Yikes.

So, my suggestion to all of you who live in downtown San Diego is this-on Saturday, June 5th, get out on your balcony around 6:45am and enjoy the show! This 26.2 mile jaunt (I can’t even begin to imagine, hats off to all of you marathoners out there) can be viewed from areas surrounding Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the East Village. If after watching this major feat you feel inspired, head over to the San Diego Convention Center and visit the Health and Fitness Expo.

Who knows, maybe next year you’ll be one of those marathoners running through downtown looking up on those people-filled balconies thinking, “I used to be one of you.” But I’ll tell you one thing, I’ll always be one of those balcony watchers. 26.2 miles?!
