The North Embarcadero Visionary Plan Delayed Until April 2010

A decision on a joint plan to revitalize the Downtown San Diego North Embarcadero has been delayed until the California Coastal Commissions April 14-16 meeting in Ventura, CA.

The Public Infrastructure Project North Embarcadero Visionary Plan“, Phase 1 (NEVP) is one of the last major Urban waterfront redevelopment opportunities in North America, this is taking place by the San Diego Harbor in the Columbia District in Downtown San Diego.

A public hearing on the proposed North Embarcadero Visionary Plan was held Februrary 11th, 2010. The project is a collaborative effort between the Port of San Diego, Centre City Development Corporation and the City of San Diego.

During the next few weeks, the Port and Coastal Commission staffs will work cooperatively on resolving the remaining issues.
