For residents of Downtown San Diego, the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan is an effort to make the San Diego Bay front more accessible. With various projects ending and starting, the overall affect of phase 1 in the Columbia neighborhood and the surround area will change.

According to the article “Work Continues on North Embarcadero Project” the San Diego Business Journal reports that repaving has reached just north of the intersection of B Street and North Harbor Drive. Construction projects during the day will continue between Ash and F streets. For traffic heading east on West Broadway between North Harbor and Pacific Highway, the street will remain closed for an additional two months. USS Cal builders are still constructing a new median and continues work on the southern half of the street.

As work continues on the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan 1, various streets and intersections will inevitably be open and close through time. Once completed, the bay will be much more beautiful and accessible to anyone living or visiting Downtown San Diego.
