Downtown SD Restaurant News

By Mike in Downtown San Diego Lifestyle with 0 Comments

It seems like there is always a new hotspot popping up in San Diego, and this month it’s no different. While we may specialize in real estate in downtown San Diego, we love discovering great new spots to indulge our taste buds. Here are a few worth checking out.

Como Ceviche

Ceviche is all the rage in the city right now. Como Ceviche considers itself a fast-casual eatery and will open its doors in the East Village this October. In addition to ceviche dishes inspired by South American countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile, the menu will also feature wraps, salads, and bowls.

Lestat’s Hillcrest

With two locations already overflowing with business, Lestat’s just opened its third location in the heart of Hillcrest. Ideal for late-night study sessions, early morning coffee runs, and everything in between, this location will offer the same goodies as the other two locations. Although, no word yet on if this spot will also be open 24 hours a day like the others.

Punch Bowl Social

Punch Bowl Social has a reputation for blending entertainment, games, and delicious Southern food at its original location in Denver. While the San Diego opening isn’t on the calendar until 2017, local foodies and game lovers are freaking out. The new eatery will have classics like shuffleboard and pinball, as well as vintage video games, craft cocktails, and a Southern-inspired menu.

Du-par’s Restaurant and Bakery

Du-par’s is already open, and opened quietly, but it won’t take long for word to get out. This restaurant in downtown serves breakfast 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If the name rings a bell it’s likely because the restaurant once had a spot on Sports Arena Blvd. Favorites include fresh-baked pastries, pancakes, and eggs benedict in various combinations.
