We love to feature homes at The Mark, just call it a personal thing. So when we found out that we were going to be able to showcase The Mark #2201 as our newest Downtown San Diego Rental, we were excited.
The Mark is a luxury building located in Downtown San Diego’s East Village between 8th and 9th (West/East), and Market and Island (North/South). We give the classification of “luxury” building to those buildings that have top notch amenities and finishes. The Mark is one of the few buildings in the East Village that has a 24 hour concierge, heated pool and spa, full fitness center, and conference room. Someone during the development had some connections within the city, because The Mark was able to name the private street that runs through the complex, therefore giving everyone in the building the “800 The Mark Lane” address.
The building itself features upscale finishes but keeps a contemporary feel with some exposed concrete accent pillars and walls throughout. Three levels of gated/ underground parking take up the entire city block beneath the community, which means bigger than normal parking spaces and lanes.
Unit #2201 at The Mark is a two bedroom, two bath, 1321 square foot Downtown San Diego Rental home with vaulted ceilings and a Western orientation. This unit has a modern, upgraded kitchen with features such as spacious granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a drop hood above the stove top, and an extra large refrigerator. The upgraded hardwood flooring throughout the unit looks fantastic and the homeowners have done a great job with the paint scheme. A balcony off of the living area adds additional space for entertaining and/or relaxing. Because of the western orientation, you pick-up a great view of San Diego Bay and the Downtown San Diego Skyline.
Around the corner from the living area are the two bedrooms. The master suite is on the corner of the building and features floor to ceiling windows. Being on the Northwest corner with the large windows gives the Master one of my favorite bedroom views of any Downtown San Diego Condo. The in-unit washer and dryer are located in the hallway between the master and second bedrooms.
