As many of you already know, the San Diego Coronado Bridge is on its way to receive a lighting face lift. The Port of San Diego has partnered with the San Diego Foundation to work together on the Coronado Bridge lighting funding strategy. According to the Ports recent article ”Port Partners with San Diego Foundation on Bridge Lighting Funding Strategy” a vote was completed to provide a $75,000 seed funding to raise about $6 million to $8 million dollars needed for the project.
The project will include programmable colored LED lighting that will bring Coronado and Downtown San Diego residents inspiration as well as attracting new residents and visitors. It will be a view to enjoy from any Downtown San Diego Condo but many are also worried about if the new lighting scenarios will disturb auto drivers while passing through the area.
