Downtown San Diego Condos & Lofts Sold by Type of Sale 2011Downtown San Diego had during the year of 2011 a total of 1028 sold Downtown San Diego Condos and Downtown San Diego Lofts.

Out of the 7 neighborhoods in Downtown San Diego the East Village/Ballpark District has most sold units of 312. Not too far behind was the Little Italy District with 209 units sold. The Cortez Hill District had 102 units sold. The Marina District and the Columbia District shared 4th place with a total of 171 units sold. The Gaslamp District had 51 units sold and last the Metro with 12 units sold.

According to this graph, Developer sales in the East Village/Ballpark District hit the spot with a total of 116 units sold and there after the Marina District with 101 units sold. We can still see that the Developer sales ruled the Downtown San Diego real estate market this year. Now going into the year of 2012 and with the developer sales pretty much gone…the Downtown market is now in a resale market that includes distressed properties such as foreclosures and short sales.
