fallback-festivaql.jpgHard to believe but November has arrived in San Diego just like that and with this change comes the 11th Annual Fallback Festival in the Gaslamp District. This festival is also known as the Children’s Historical & Cultural Street Faire and will be held on Sunday, November 6th from 11-4pm. This is the perfect family event for those of us living in Downtown San Diego since it’s held right down the street from where we live.

With old fashioned hay rides, panning for gold, butter churning, pony rides, pie eating contests and of course watching Wyatt Earp defend 4th Avenue from Outlaws, your kiddos will feel as if they have traveled back in time to the dusty streets of the 1880s. Historical demonstrations and interactive activities set the tone for this day in the life of long ago. You can even get your family all dressed up in traditional outfits appropriate to the time period and pose for a family portrait. Now if that doesn’t set the tone for falling back in time, I don’t know what will!

This event is free though some of the activities and vendors will ask for donations or a small fee, but keep in mind that all of the proceeds from this event benefit the Gaslamp Historical Foundation and that is a good foundation to contribute to. Have fun! ')}
