Festival of Sail~Labor Day Weekend

As a downtown San Diego resident there are certain events you can count on each year and Festival of Sail is one of them. Located in the North Embarcadero, some of the tallest ships in the world will dock for the west coast’s largest tall ship festival. Held over Labor Day Weekend, the festival feels like a nautical theme park with ships to board, cannonball fights, pirates, live music, good eats and crafty vendors.

Kids LOVE this event as they receive a passport to be stamped each time they explore a new ship. Adults love this event for the same reasons. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 6-12 years old (5 and under are free). Add on events and activities are available and definitely worth looking into (think cannonball fights out on a historic ship sailing the San Diego Bay).

We’ve been downtown San Diego loft owners for quite some time and let me be the first to say, this is worth a visit!
