The Port of San Diego in cooperation with hotel developers have approved the Lane Field Hotel Park plan to create more park space down by the Embarcadero in Downtown San Diego. The park will be located about 150 feet from Harbor Drive just around the corner from The Grande at Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Train Station and Electra in the Columbia District. The Lane Field development will include;
- Two hotels with a total of 800 rooms
- 60,000 square feet in retail space
- 2 acres of public space
- 1,330 parking spaces
