As we all know.Downtown San Diego sales have been pretty good lately. But.who is buying right now? Who has the money to invest in Downtown San Diego real estate? With these all time low prices and interest rates, investors have really opened up their eyes and started to invest in the Downtown market.
In the past 90 days, 60% (157 out of 260) of Downtown San Diego Condo & Loft sales have been below the $400,000 price point with most of the sales going to investors and/or cash buyers.
The East Village/Ballpark District and the Little Italy District have become the hot spot for these types of buyers. Some are buying multiple properties to hang onto in hopes of getting a return after the prices come back up. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next year.
