DECOBIKE Comes to Downtown San Diego

Living in an urban environment like Downtown San Diego is starting to allow for many different types of alternative transportation options.   If you are looking for a fast, easy, convenient way to get around Downtown San Diego outside of a car, Uber, or Lift…there is now a new option.  Decobike is a new alternative method of transportation coming to Downtown San Diego that is green, healthy, and fun.  In partnership with The City of San Diego, Decobike is a solar powered bike sharing rental program for locals and visitors alike.   The initial launch of Decobike will feature a network of 180 bikes available for pick up from sharing stations accessible from dozens of locations 24 hours a day.

How does it work?

Membership Key or credit card acts as your access pass to program.

There are 2 methods of use:

1.  Hourly Rental

2.  Membership providing unlimited use for 30 or 60 minutes at a time. Dock at sharing station to reset ride time.

How much does it cost?  Per Hour, Per Day, Per Month, Per Year

  1. Rental pricing starts at $5 for 30 min and  up to $15 for a full day rental.  Short term weekly and monthly options also available.
  1. Membership pricing starts at $99/month with a 3 month minimum commitment.     All price options

The first bike sharing stations will be open to the public beginning 10/30/14. Their goal is to provide 180 stations and 1,800 bikes within the city of San Diego.   We have already seen several installations all around the East Village (Market Street in front of CVS, and J Street Just outside of Petco Park).   Click Here to view the Station Map in Downtown and all around surrounding neighborhoods.
