Easter Events Downtown San Diego

Although Easter started as a religious holiday, like so many others it’s become a day for those religious and otherwise to spend a little extra time doing something special with friends and family. Easter might be a few days away, but there’s still plenty of time to make plans! If you recently purchased Downtown San Diego real estate and want to spend Easter checking out your new neighborhood, here are a few great events in and around the Downtown San Diego area!

Brunch and Tea at the Westgate

On April 3rd and 4th, the Westgate Hotel will host an Easter celebration for the young ones. While parents are enjoying afternoon tea, children can participate in an Easter egg hunt, watch a magic show, and visit with the Easter Bunny himself! On the 5th, dine at the Champagne Brunch, which will offer fresh seafood, carving stations, made-to-order omelets, and rich desserts!

Museum Drop-In Day at SDMA

Every Sunday afternoon, the San Diego Museum of Art offers Family Drop-In Days and Easter Sunday is no different! Themes change monthly, and special activities are offered to get the whole family seeing things in a new way. The family can also take a docent-lead tour, participate in search-and-find activities, and play games.

Egg Hunt and Crafts at Hotel Del Coronado

Just across from the Marina in Downtown San Diego, the Hotel Del is hosting several egg hunts organized by age (up to 12 years old) for hotel, brunch, and breakfast guests. The hunts will take place on the oceanfront Windsor Lawn, and each hunt has three special golden coins hidden throughout. The lucky winners with the gold coins will receive a special Easter basket filled with goodies!

Both guests and non-guests can have fun at the Craft Eggstravaganza that will also be hosted on the Windsor Lawn. The craft zone will include things like egg hunt photo frames, Easter necklaces, and Easter egg magnets!

Brunch at the US Grant

An Easter Sunday classic, brunch at the US Grant never disappoints. This year, feast on breakfast flatbreads, made-to-order omelets, cheese and charcuterie, fresh seafood, steak and braised pork shoulder, soup, salad, and desserts including fresh donuts with more toppings than you can imagine.

The best part of living in a Downtown San Diego loft or condo is being able to indulge in all the champagne you want during brunch and then walking home. However you choose to spend your Easter Sunday, make sure you do it safely!
