Where to Indulge on Taco Tuesdays

By Mike in Things to Do with 0 Comments

Taco Tuesday is a way of life in San Diego, which has arguably the most delicious tacos in the country. Downtown San Diego alone has more than a dozen great Taco Tuesday spots that combine awesome tacos with margaritas and an unbeatable location. Here are some fun spots to add to your rotation.

La Puerta

Located on 4th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, La Puerta embodies a south-of-the-boarder atmosphere and offers up some of the most authentic and delicious tacos you’ll find. Period. Every Tuesday, La Puerta serves up $2 street tacos with drink specials and $5 off appetizers. At $2 apiece, gather your friends to try a selection of pollo asado, carne asada, grilled veggie, cochinita, and shrimp tacos this Tuesday.

Don Chido

Don Chido, also in the Gaslamp, is always hopping on Tuesdays. The restaurant has its own tortilleria and ceviche bar with specials every Tuesday from 4pm to closing. Taco Tuesday at Don Chido features $2 chicken, carne, and carnitas tacos, plus $5 tequila shots, $4 Mexican beers, and $5 margaritas.

El Camino

Taco Tuesdays are always a blast at Little Italy’s El Camino. The restaurant is always packed with a hungry crowd ordering tasty 1/2 off tacos and $3 margaritas, sangrias, and Coronas. Enjoy $2 a la carte street tacos and pair them with margaritas while taking in the fun Mexican decor. Other hits at the restaurant include the sweet potato flautas, Moscow mules, and punch bowls to share with your entire party.

The Blind Burro

The Blind Burro is located in the East Village just a block from Petco Park, and it’s often crowded during baseball season. Stop in for Taco Tuesday and try half-off carne asada, fish, and lobster tacos paired with margaritas, freshly fried chips, and tasty appetizers.

After a long day of selling real estate in Downtown San Diego, even we like to sit back with some mouthwatering tacos, good tequila, and unwind. If we’ve missed one of your favorite spots, let us know! ')}
