The new Broadway Pier Cruise Ship Terminal’s structural framework is now complete. On Feb. 9th the workers celebrated by placing an American Flag and a live tree on top of the steel beam. The tree signifies that work was completed without any injures.
The Broadway Pier Cruise Ship Terminal in the Columbia District in Downtown San Diego is one of The Port of San Diegos largest public work projects. The building will have a baggage claim area, a passenger waiting area, and a ticketing office. There will also be a station for customs and Homeland Security, a passenger disembarking area, and baggage handling. The building may be used for public events, and local public art will be included in the project.
